I hurt my knee just under two weeks ago, and since then, have found myself randomly discussing the term “Tailor Style” with my friends. None of them have ever heard that phrase before — everyone grew up calling it “Indian Style.” I have one friend who is now an elementary school teacher who has informed me that since “Indian Style” is extremely un-PC, they now call it “crisscross,” or “crisscross applesauce” with the tiny kids.
I am please to learn that my “Tailor Style” leanings are in fact legit. What do you call it?
Indian style. Totally.
I also heard that singing “10 Little Indians” to one’s child is also now frowned upon.
The thing is, does anybody over the age of 8 actually associate any of that with real Indians?
