I’ve now done New Years in London! Here’s my report:

Well, London has a SPECTACULAR fireworks show down by the Thames. It was a solid 15 minutes at least. All being shot off from the river with spectacular plumes of pyrotechnics and lights coming from The London Eye (a giant ferris wheel).

Too bad we were standing in Trafalgar Square in the rain with all the other tourists, and watched said fireworks through a tiny hole between two buildings or on the giant tv screen while being showered with champagne by some jackass next to us and listening to a group of drunk Germans sing John Denver songs.

Oops. Now we know.

Hope yours was happy! Gotta pack. I’m looking forward to some sunshine.
