We just got back from an EXCELLENT production of Shaw’s You Never Can Tell. What a fun play! It was wonderfully acted and handily directed. It had a definite sparkle — the characters were all lovably quirky, and their interactions felt so natural. I bet the play doesn’t read half as well, sadly. It is my favorite thing I’ve seen here in London so far.

I woke up at 4:30 am today with a nasty fever, so I stayed in - since it was only Mme. Tussaud’s, I can’t say I minded too much. I was feeling better when I left for the show, but now the achiness is back … I’d best get to sleep!
