So there appears to be something dreadfully wrong with my Podling (a.k.a. iPod Mini). I am very, very distressed. It seemed to be losing it’s charge quite quickly last week. Wednesday night, I plugged it into charge overnight, and I got the happy charging battery, but when I woke up, it was still going. It usually only takes a few hours, so this seemed odd. So I took it to work and plugged it in to my PC. By 3:00pm, it was finally indicating that it had charged up. I took it to Jen’s last night (we use it for music for the RPG we do there weekly), and it completely died after about two songs. Dead enough that I couldn’t turn it on at all. I tried hooking it up to Jen’s laptop, but the device didn’t even register, and I didn’t get any response on the iPod display either.
Uh-oh. 
Bring it to the Apple Store at Barton Creek Mall and have an Apple Genius check it out… they are very good and will probably have an answer (or repair) for you. It’s still under warranty so the repair will be free!
