Incidentally, that is where I have been for so long. Rebalancing my life. Strange that working in acadaemia is the ideal place to destress for so many. I think if you get in with the right people in the right setting, it is definitely a slower pace, with excellent vacation and benefits. But. If you’re driven hard and have a poor relationship with your supervisor, it is pure and simple hell.

So I’m out! And I’ve got a new job as the online content manager for an IT and health services training company. I think it’s a much better fit, and my spirit already feels so much calmer.
