I have uploaded photos (yay, Steve!) of my performance with Ginger at Mirage last night. I was too exhausted to do it full out, and I am ashamed of it. It’s kinda sad, really, when you’re in the midst of a performance and you can tell you’re low wattage and yet you just don’t have the needed burst of energy to make it magnetic.
Still, the photos are pretty.
I was approached by one of the Madrigal guresses before the show, and they want me to dance the dinner again. I think I’ll do it. It is a fun performance venue, and after attending the show last year (and therefore, the show had no bellydancer in the cast), I realized that the sound of that drum and the dancer’s coins adds a dimension of immediacy and chaos to the room that is cricital to the flavor of a “renaissnance festival” atmosphere. Kinda neat to realize that you were that integral, even though you didn’t realize it at the time.
No energy? Both of you look like you’re having a blast!
Huzzah for dancing at Madrigal. You’re right that the background belly dancing noise adds to the atmosphere. See if you can get Ginger to do it too — the more the merrier.

I missed you bellydancing at Madrigal too… I am so glad you’ll be doing it this year!
