The dance duet with Ginger at Shimmy into Spring yesterday was a success. I felt like we got a really great audience response, we didn’t make any major flubs, and as we were the first act to do something upbeat (Kan Mali by Samira Sa’id - rai style, strong house beat), and the only act to do only ONE short and sweet number, people were disposed to like us.
The cool thing about it was we got a formal invitation to dance at Casa de Luz (be warned: the site plays music) out of it. “Desert Passion” is a middle eastern dance theater thing that has guest artists, and they want Ginger and I to perform. It would be sometime after September. That’s a very cool thing!
We dance again at Mirage in two weeks. That one will be much lower stress.
