It is always amusing when I blog out of guilt. I had a great birthday! I think everyone had a lot of fun. I’m definitely doing dinner out next year, though. I love throwing parties, but it is pretty exhausting. My college days are far behind me now, I guess. Oy.
Steve and I have been looking for new digs — thus far, it is down to Riata and Gables Bluffstone. Both have some decent deals, and are substantially less than where we are …. If you know horror stories about either one, let me know.
Dad got me that iPod Mini for my birthday! I am so spoiled. I can’t wait until it gets here — it hasn’t even shipped yet, I don’t think. I am already organizing all my shite on iTunes in gleeful anticipation. Tee-hee.
Two steps forward, one back on the job thing. Bummed this other UT gig didn’t work out. We’ll see what happens from here.
I actually watched the Oscars this year. Like, the whole damn thing. I have to say that for some reason the older I get the less the Oscars appeal to me. I can’t put my finger on why. I guess it is cool to be recognized by your peers. But at the same time, I’m not at all convinced that decisions get made for the right reasons. Regardless, I am pleased that RotK swept. The trilogy will go down in history, I have the gut feeling, and it is a thrill to see the genre of fantasy given “legitimacy” by the critics.
