… so much to say. Let’s see.
I think I’m having an allergic reaction to my new allergy medication. How ironic is that? I have stopped taking it to find out. I have to admit, I will miss sleeping.
I got official word that I can have the day off Feb. 23 — Jennifer and I are going to David Freeman’s Beyond Structure writing workshop in Dallas the weekend before and I am quite jazzed. We are taking Monday off to take time getting back and hopefully see our respective grandmothers. Yay.
I will be 27 on the 26th. The clock is ticking, ladies and gents.
Not sure what to do for Valentine’s Day, or if I even want to do anything. I don’t really like Valentine’s Day. I like the concept of it, but not the red and pink candy hearts and the overpriced roses and the spiked dinner prices. I think I’m going to get Steve something, but again, I have no idea what. BAH. I can’t stand the pressure of this totally made-up holiday.
This weekend should be pretty cool, but busy. Today is Ginger’s birthday!
Ginger is having a happy hour for her birthday tonight, so we’re going to that. Then tomorrow I plan to check out Flirt’s Grand Opening Party, since I want a new shirt, and besides, it sounds like fun. Tomorrow night is Carnaval in Austin, and I desperately want to go, but we just got slammed with a huge car bill for Steve’s X-Terra so we aren’t going. Instead, we’re going to Melissa’s Carousel show — this is the 6th anniversary, and my three favorite dancers are performing. Yay! (Melissa is my beautiful teacher, but I haven’t been to class in so long that I doubt she wants to claim me anymore.)
Sunday afternoon is a trip en famille to see Phantom of the Opera. I feel like I’ve seen it eight million times, but it is a great show, and Steve has never seen it. I hope this is a decent cast.
Then there’s the issue of the thank you notes. Yes, I am still doing wedding thank you notes. How pathetic is that?
I should really do some work this morning.
