About

Lack of planning on your part doesn’t consitute an emergency on my part.

I remembered! There was one more excursion that we went on that I forgot to tell you all about. It was actually a quite nice one. We spent one day at Interlaken durning orientation week. Steve and I wandered and window shopped for a bit, taking in the city. Mostly, the city itself isn’t anything remarkable, although there is a very pretty park and main street to stroll. After we had our fill of exploring, we then took the funicular all the way up to Harder Kulm, which has a beautiful view down on the city. You can see both lakes which sandwich the city (hence the name). We took off walking away from the requisite panoramic restuarant in search of other views, found a bench and some wild strawberries, and dawdled. It felt soooo good to be quiet. I think that for me one of the most exhausting things about being here is the constant people.

I am going to come home with seven rolls of nothing but pictures of mountains.
