i remember so clearly days when it would rain and then freeze in michigan. i have long thought it is one of the most beautiful things in the world. the trees are wet, and then they freeze. the bare ones are covered in ice all the way out to the tips of their branches. every little twig. when the sun comes up clear and sparkling the next day, the treetops shimmer like something out of a faerie story. they glitter in this dazzling filigree. every inch of every branch. it’s breathtaking for a few hours.
too bad that didn’t happen this morning. ![]()
